Design requirements for stadium lighting

Whether the lighting of a stadium is good or not, it must not only have appropriate and uniform illumination and brightness to meet the viewing effect of the audience, but also ensure the lighting requirements of referees, athletes and spectators for watching the game, and also ensure the broadcast effect of television. Therefore, the lighting design of stadiums is different from general lighting design. The lighting of competition venues is a highly technical and difficult design.

1. Glare: In addition to ensuring horizontal and vertical illumination, stadiums must also reduce glare.

2. Directionality of light: The depression angle of the lamp not only affects the vertical illumination,

but also has a relatively large glare effect on athletes, spectators and referees.

3. Color temperature and color rendering of light source: In order to achieve a good broadcast effect, it is not only related to illumination, but also to the color temperature and color rendering of the lighting source. The color rendering index of the general light source for color TV broadcasting should not be less than 65. According to the requirements of FIFA, the relevant color temperature Tc of the light source is greater than 5000K and the color rendering index of the light source is greater than or equal to 80 to achieve the best on-site lighting effect and broadcast effect.
