Basketball court lighting standard requirements and lighting layout
The lighting of the stadium is an important part of the stadium design and is relatively complex. It not only needs to meet the requirements of athletes for competition and spectators for viewing, but also needs to meet the requirements of live TV broadcasts for lighting color temperature, illumination, illumination uniformity, etc., which are much higher than those of athletes and spectators. In addition, the lighting layout of lighting fixtures must be closely coordinated with the overall planning of the stadium and the structural form of the stands. In particular, the maintenance of lighting equipment is closely related to architectural design and must be considered comprehensively.

[Lighting layout]
1. Light pole layout: lamps are installed on lamp poles, and generally 1 to 2 lamps are installed on each lamp pole. This method is used for outdoor courts
Generally, four-pole or six-pole layout is adopted, and the installation height of the lamps is greater than 7m. Floodlights are used to achieve better uniformity.
2. Starry sky lighting: The lamps are arranged above the venue, and the light beam is perpendicular to the plane of the venue.
Advantages: high horizontal illumination, uniform illumination, and low glare.
Disadvantages: low vertical illumination, inconvenient installation and maintenance.
Application: This method is mostly used in basketball training halls, or indoor venues in schools and factories, where vertical illumination is not required.
3. Madao lighting: The lamps are arranged on both sides of the venue, and the light beam is not perpendicular to the plane of the venue.
The aiming angle of the lamp is not greater than 65 degrees, preferably less than 60 degrees, in order to prevent glare.
Advantages: high vertical illumination, uniform illumination, easy installation and maintenance.
Disadvantages: large glare.
Application: This method is mainly used in indoor basketball halls with TV broadcast requirements, and is also suitable for basketball training halls. Due to its simple installation and convenient maintenance, it is increasingly widely used.
